Erin Ramirez is an award-winning Chinese-Jamaican and Dominican filmmaker originally from New Hampshire. They use their foundation in classical US film language to reconsider new methods of storytelling, reimagining future, unseen depictions of race, sexuality, and existence outside of historically constraining and/or limiting images. Erin received a BA in journalism from the University of Southern California and an MFA in Screenwriting/Directing from Columbia University School of the Arts where they were awarded the Dean’s Project Grant. Their work has been included in numerous film festivals around the US.
