Born in Guyana, Omolola Ajao is an artist working within film and play. Her work repeatedly attends to the inflections of Black life. She continues to be unsettled by gesture and sociality. After Sunday premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Omolola is a THFF alumna, and holds a Masters of Visual Studies from the University of Toronto.
As a young woman takes a hard look into her family’s past, difficult truths begin to surface in the memories of their migrant journey. Within the fragments of differing perspectives, she must sort through past recollections to get to a place of her own fictioning.
